Don't read it.Ok, I admit I still have about 30 pages to go, which I will get around to reading soon (need a break from the book though) and which I highly doubt will prompt me to change my 2-star rating.

We've all grown tired of your need for attention. The movie rights for the memoir were purchased by Columbia Pictures. The memoir chronicles the author's trip around the world after her divorce and what she discovered during her travels. I checked the dictionary definition of “self-absorbed” and, sure enough, there’s a picture of this book.

Elizabeth Gilbert is a really good writer but I still had to absolutely slog through to the end of her annoying book. We all have been stressed at particular moments in our lives. Leaving her audience only to guess it was so horrible she had to leave and find herself.WHY? I tried. It was a pre-paid journey. She wrote it as her own memoir--you can agree or disagree with how she went about her "enlightenment," but you cannot judge her for how she found happiness. etc.

After finalizing her difficult divorce, she spent the next year traveling the world.She spent four months in Italy, eating and enjoying life ("Eat"). Poor woman wants out of her marriage so she leaves.... wahhhh. And I failed. Well, have you read that book "Oh, you spent a year in India? Wow, this book took me on a roller-coaster ride. I have been reading Eat Pray Love quotes by Elizabeth Gilbert many times.

After she ate, and prayed, she met some amazing guy who she "fell" in love with, then, she got a book deal. So: I have NO BUSINESS WRITING THIS.

She got to leave reality for a while. I couldn't decide if I loved it or hated it and it seemed like every few pages I'd go from thinking Gilbert was delightfully witty to thinking this was the most horribly self-absorbed person to ever set foot on the earth. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. So after a long period of conflict, she moved out of the marriage and finally divorced her husband. She didn’t know where to start, but then one evening, she collapsed on the bathroom floor in prayer.

Wow, this book took me on a roller-coaster ride.

Along with learning, she also explored various places in Italy, over the love of eating Pizza.She progressed to India, then Indonesia to learn Yoga and meditation.

Do the publishing world a favor. It was one box among many, but this particular box, she had promised, would have within it her very best and most loved books, and among those -- Elizabeth Gilbert's "Eat, Pray, Love" that I had been longing to read. There is so much wrong with it, but two things I dislike and question above everything are 1. the fact that this is called a ‘‘memoir,’’ even though Elizabeth Gilbert shares close to nothing about her early life (even now I feel likeI wasn’t going to give this book any attention, but I was curious about the narration of the audiobook, so I decided to give it a try. I just gave Eat, Pray, Love a tearful send-off. This book and Wild by Cheryl Strayed are my favorite types of memoir to listen to.

Love it. 334 pp. You can achieve enlightement by whatever means you want. I just wanted to scream GET OVER YOURSELF! But no one more so than Elizabeth Gilbert. You cannot force yourself to be happy.

She then embarked on a rebound relationship that did not work out, leaving her devastated and alone.

Fleeing a broken marriage and instantly falling in love with another guy David, gave her more misery and pain. Then I quit reading it and now I feel much better.I just kept thinking wahhhhhh the whole time. Probably because we all enjoy different things, are inspired by different things and despise different things. Directed by Ryan Murphy. Gilbert is "suddenly" gay and publicly comes out, proclaiming her love for her best friend who just happens to be dying from pancreatic cancer. Good and bad experience makes life more adventurous and fills one with greater contentment.The author was in an unhappy marriage where she no longer wanted to stay.

Julia Roberts has done an amazing job. Poor woman is depressed so she whines wahhhhh. Julia Roberts has done an amazing job. Each japa mala has 108 beads, which neatly divide into 3 groups of 36; so each section of Eat, Pray, Love has 36 sections (which was also, conveniently, Gilbert's age at the time). I really didn't READ it all. She lived a rigorous ashram life.
